A Week of ‘Signs in the Skies’ (Prophecy Unfolding)
‘In the last days…I will show wonders in the heavens above and signs on the earth below.’ Acts 2:19 (New International version)
The past week has been an eventful week in the skies. On Monday, lightning hit the Vatican’s St Peter’s Basilica. Then on Friday, a meteorite landed in a lake near Chebarkul, a Russian town in the Chelyabinsk region, followed by an asteroid the size of a football field, called DA14, safely passing the earth. After these unusual events, along with last year’s climate chaos, a mixture of extreme weather and earthquakes, one can’t be forgiven for thinking something really odd is going on in and around planet earth. Some blame ‘climate change,’ others blame the Mayan new age-shift, but those who are familiar with the Bible should be quite excited at seeing ancient Biblical prophecy unfolding right before their eyes and the promise of the Lord’s return.
When the disciples asked Jesus in Matthew 24 “what will be the sign of your coming and the end of the age,” Jesus replied…
“…watch out that NO-ONE deceives you…for many false prophets will arise…you will hear of wars (Iraq, Afganistan) and rumours of wars (Iran?)…nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places…the stars will fall from the sky…”
There are numerous other passages of prophecy in the Bible that signal the ‘end of the age’ and the Lord’s return, that are unfolding right now and I’d urge everyone, both believer and non-believer to ‘examine their hearts’ and get right with God, because ‘no-one knows the day nor hour’ of the Lord’s return, so watch and be ready!
These signs are a warning from God that time is short. Are you sure where you’ll spend eternity? Don’t wait until it’s too late, get right with God and live for Him.

It is important to know who we are in Christ Jesus, as believers’ and to understand our authority in Him over the enemy (Satan). Meditate, digest and confess these scriptures over your everyday life for victorious living and confidence in our Lord…
